Laurel Firefighters visit the Career Tech Center
On Monday, September 9, six Laurel firefighters visited the Jones County Career Tech Center. The firefighters presented fire safety guidelines and shared work-related experiences with the students. After the presentation, students went outside to practice using fire extinguishers and to explore the fire truck.

October is
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
On Thursday, October 17, our Health Science students hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness table. Students passed out information in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of early detection. Students shared information they have learned in class to inform and educate fellow career tech students about the signs of Breast Cancer.

Culinary Arts and WBL Students Visit JC
On Tuesday, November 5, our Culinary Arts II and CPE students visited the CTE programs at Jones College.
Reality Fair
On Wednesday, November 6, our CTE students participated in a "Reality Fair." The fair was hosted by Central Sunbelt Credit Union.
Wellness Walk
On Friday, November 8, our CTE students participated in a "Wellness Walk." After the 30 minute walk, students had a nutritious snack of bananas and water. Before the walk, our Career Pathway Experience students wrote words of encouragement on the bananas.
